What did the British do in Rawalpindi during World War II?

During World War II, the British government exposed hundreds of Indian soldiers to poisonous gases at a military facility in Rawalpindi. These experiments were part of a bigger experiment, which was aimed at finding out the right quantity of mustard gas needed to achieve an enemy casualty in battlefield.
