The day Ka’ba came under attack

In 1979, a group of self-proclaimed armed reformists took control of the Ka’ba and declared one of their associated as the ‘Mahdi’. The Saudi government took two weeks of military effort and help from Pakistan and France to retake the Ka’ba from the militants.
