‘Jihadi John’ was a British Arab seen in several videos produced by ISIS carrying out the beheadings of a number of captives in 2014 and 2015. He was dubbed ‘John’ by some of his hostages who named the group holding them after ‘The Beatles’. He operated from Syria and was killed in a drone strike.
