History of Sexual Violence during Conflict

Throughout history, women have experienced sexual violence during times of conflict. Systematic violence against women reigned supreme during the partition of United India. The women of the subcontinent got raped by men from other ethnicities, who used it as a weapon to insult their foes. Muslim women were targeted by Sikhs and vice versa.
